It’s no secret how much we love Blissfields Festival. I’ve been to many festivals in my life. Nowadays, there’s at least a festival every week throughout the summer months, so it can be a nightmare trying to decide which is best suited to you.
Blissfields is really like a house party you have to go, a family friendly event that has been listed in the Guardian as one of the ‘Top 50 Boutique Music Festivals’.
The festival caters for everyone needs and offers a great selection of different camping areas and options. There’s are spacious areas for families to camp as well as areas for you to set live in vehicles down for the weekend. There’s also general camping areas for those bringing the own tent and even boutique camping for those like want a bit of luxury. At the festival you’ll find a number of different stages, food stalls and craft tents, swell as a area for kids with a number of different activities. There’s even a babies and toddlers care tent which has all sorts of activities this year such as sing songs, baby sign and even baby yoga .
Blissfields Festival located outside of Winchester, Hampshire. It was founded by husband and wife dream team, Paul and Mel Bliss back in 2001 and has steadily grown since then. Although, it may not host the biggest capacity at only a few thousand attendees (which part of the festival’s charm), it has seen some impressive appearances over the years including Bastille, Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons.
Last summer 20016 the festival hosted the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Everything Everything, Roni Size with Dynamite MC, and lots more.
Blissfields take all the best aspects of Bestival and Glastonbury, but takes it to down a notch in a more secluded, intimate and cosy setting.
