These days, most festivals will encourage fancy dress to some degree. You won’t be able to move for those half-moon glitter explosions. But Neverworld takes the dress code that much further. Everyone is encouraged to join a tribe: mermaid, pirate or lost boy. The festival site is split into realms – The Neverwoods, Skull Ridge and Mermaids Lagoon – and there you’ll find your people for the weekend. If you embrace the vibe you’ll find a new group of pals before you’ve opened your first can of lukewarm cider.
Dates: 1st-3th August
Price: £159 weekend ticket
Lineup highlights: Craig David, Alma, The Vaccines
Bonus: You won’t struggle to find the type of music you’re after. If you fancy a punk-fuelled afternoon with a side of rock, it’s all self-contained. If you’re more of an indie pop type of person, you’ll find your fun in Pan’s Playground, whereas for disco and electro, you’ll want to party with the mermaids.
