Kelis has been revealed as the headliner for this year’s Jam On Rye festival.
The one-day event, which made its debut last summer, will return to Peckham Rye Park for a celebration of music and street food on Monday May 27 — the second bank holiday of the month.
The musical side of the festival will be topped by R’n’B icon Kelis, with Soul II Soul founder Jazzie B and Stevie Wonder collaborator Omar the two other biggest names on the line-up.
There will also be a vibrant gathering of local talent at the event, with a stage set to be hosted by Peckham-based radio station Balamii.
Bleecker Burger will lead the gastronomic line-up, which has been curated by street food connoisseurs KERB. It will also feature BBQ Dreamz and Baba G’s, both of which were recently named winners on the BBC programme My Million Pound Menu.
Elsewhere, there will be a child-friendly stage featuring a kids’ disco, arts and crafts activities and more.
