Red Hot Chili Peppers return to the scene of their triumphant reunion at the 2007 Reading Festival to headline the Main Stage
Red Hot Chili Peppers (also sometimes shortened to “The Chili Peppers” or abbreviated as “RHCP”) is the first act announced for Reading & Leads Festivals, the legendary American rock band that has been rocking the world since rocketing out of the 1980s LA rock scene to become the biggest and arguably baddest band in the best possible taste of the late 1980s and early 1990s has been announced as headliners for Reading festival’s Friday night (August 26th) and Leeds festival’s Sunday night (August 28th).
The south of England’s Reading festival dates back to the 1960s, and it was twinned with the north’s Leeds festival in 1999. The same bands on each year’s bill play at both festivals on different days.
The crowd capacity for Reading is 80,000, while Leeds is 70,000. The festivals usually sell out of tickets quickly.
Red Hot Chili Peppers headlined the Reading and Leeds festival in 2007, and played a great set by all accounts.
