A first wave of stellar acts have been announced for next year’s Wychwood Festival.

Headlining on the Saturday night will be 80s icons Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. The experimental electronic music pioneers played a sell-out show at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year and are bringing their much-lauded live performance to Wychwood next summer.

They will be followed by folk legends The Levellers who are headlining on the Sunday and will perform classics from their extensive back catalouge including What A Beautiful Day.

Joining them will be Kanda Bongo Man, The East Pointers, Thrill Collins and Electric Swing Circus.

Katy Ashworth of CBeebies fame will be heading up the kids’ entertainment, with many more acts and performances to be announced.

Over the past 12 years Wychwood Festival has cemented itself as one of the country’s favourite family-friendly weekends. It curates a packed programme of timeless acts, upcoming music, literature, comedy, children’s entertainment and plenty of food and drink.

The festival runs from June 2-4 2017 at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Tier Two Early Bird tickets are available until the end of the year and cost £130 for an adult weekend pass, £65 for 10 to 15 year olds, £20 for five to nine year olds and children under 5 getting in for free.
