London festival Lovebox and sister event Citadel are to relocate to a new location in Gunnersbury Park this summer.
The west London ground will welcome both festivals for the first time, with Lovebox taking place between July 13 to July 14 and Citadel opening its doors the day after on July 15.
Tickets for Lovebox are on sale now. They can be bought here. All tickets previously purchased for the events will remain transferrable.
It’s a big change for the festival, especially considering that Lovebox festival has been held at the same site in London’s Victoria Park ever since 2002.
It was previously announced that the festival would relocate to Brockwell Park near Brixton for this year’s event. However, guardians of the park launched a petition to pull the plug on the festival last year, putting pressure on organisers to reconsider plans.
“We can’t wait to bring what is undoubtedly our best line up ever to historic Gunnersbury Park and to introduce a new and exciting urban space into the festival market,” Lovebox and Citadel said in a statement.
“We look forward to working side by side with Ealing and Hounslow Borough Councils to bring the best in great music and popular culture to the area”
Lovebox enjoyed their biggest year to date in 2017, inviting Frank Ocean, Jamie XX and Solange to headline. Music fans will be hoping the festival can replicate last year’s success in their new setting.
